If they sign De Ligt there’s no way they’ll have enough dough to sign Branthwaite as well on top of Zirkzee. All well and good wanting to generate money by sales, but as we know, finding someone to take on your cast offs on hugely inflated wages isn’t easy. Who is paying good money for Maguire and picking up his 200k wage at 32 years old?

Why would you wax most of your transfer budget on a backup striker when you have Johnny Evans starting at CB :lol: absolute meme club.
 
Because Man United are the only club who've made an offer. Also there's no option for staying at Everton because that would currently be about 1/10. If these transfers are likely they're usually much shorter, like 1/20.
The market is so small that one bet to any option will throw the odds off.
