I doubt we wouldn't have got him for as little as £1million if we didn't agree to all of these extra bits and bobs.
In the long run (when he's inevitably sold) we'll be financially better off than if we didn't get him at all.

Wonder if thats we sent him away on loan to Eindhoven. The payments to Carlisle, would they have gone against FFP? Even if it did, it was a good move for him imo.
Sounds to me like the Carlisle chairman talking up a deal he did to his own supporters.

Yeah, if you google Chermiti's deal it probably gives you an idea of Branthwaite's.
- We get a low up front fee to mitigate the risk of him going bust
- They get add ons which are based on games played for Everton, which benefits both clubs
- 10-15% (or whatever agreed) sell on fee based on profit again benefits both clubs
If I were him I'd be talking it up to, it has the potential to be an 8 figure fee in the end for them.

It's almost certainly going to amount to an 8 figure fee which would be a L1/L2 record and 10X the size of Carlisles record ever sale. The appearance fee for us is probably negligible for our level but helpful for Carlisle. I imagine like 10k per app.

Thought he was outstanding for you today, looks like you have a fantastic prospect on your hands. My only concern would be how much he is going to develop under Dyche and his tactics.
I've only seen the highlights due to working but I thought he was trying to catch up with Haaland and ran into the back of him and, for want of a better description, bounced off him. Not wishing to decry him but he seemed to be watching the ball rather than his runner which opened up the space for EH to run into.
As I say, no criticism of him at all, he's a young player still learning.
