I don't know why you're being strange its not like Everton don't have form for selling players for less than some people think we should is it. Neither of us know what they'll do like I said I hope you're right I just wouldn't be surprised if they ended up caving if a bid came in you must have more faith in them me which is OK but thats all it is. Upamecano only cost 40 mil too if we're going to randomly pick out single players so if you can get that sort of quality at that price not many people will pay double it. 27 year old James Maddison, freshly relegated, went for £40m. Some of our fans would’ve been writing off anything over £10m for him if he played for us and we’d just been relegated. I think we have done quite well in that regard, other than maybe Rooney I think we got top dollar for most of our sales.

I don’t know, but maguire has set the bench mark, if he gets in the England squad in the next 12 months. Thelwell I’m sure he knows we have a diamond, every single player this summer should be up for sale before, picked, DCL, Onana, garner, Myko the lot of them

Richarlison was definitely not sold for under his actual value. He’s proven to be very much not a £60m player since he went there.

If there’s loads honestly you should be able to think of more.

Maybe but what was best pruce we could have got 70mil? Jesus only went for 55. I know he had a year left, richarlison has 2.

I think the fee we got for Richarlison was more than he’s worth. Then again you could counterbalance that by saying we overpaid when we bought him, which is probably also true, but a different conversation.

@JimmyK Alex Iwobi, who was 27 year old, in the last year of his contract, and crap, was sold for £22m. Are you seriously suggesting that Branthwaite, 21 years old, 5 years remaining on his contract, and good, couldn’t be sold for at least double that???

I agree, but was trying to maybe offer a different perspective. IE 4/5yrs left on his contract, no reason to sell, then maybe you get an extra 10mil out of them. But at the time I’d was a good price and like you say, if spurs sold now they would take a loss on him, Utd sold Lukaku for a similar price to what they paid us for him, I think

No you're not understanding the point even though I just pre empted you saying that. It doesn't matter if YOU think that price was right because i said some people not you. And on the next one I don't know how to quote 2 things but yes of course I think Branthwaite is loads better than Iwobi but that isn't the point either i'm saying if someone bids what the club thinks is a lot of money (not relative just as a sum) then they might cave. Loads of people thought Lukaku was worth 100 mil and weren't happy with 75 whether you were one of them isn't relevant you're not that important mike.

We got about 90 for Lukaku, with the extras, it was the Utd media pushing the Utd got a great deal narrative
