Especially on a yellow for so long too. Even then it felt so much more reassuring having him there than Keane.

Feared for him after the early booking but he was far and away our best defender, and the only one that didn't give me heart palpitations when he had the ball at his feet.

Funnily enough id usually agree with this.

However Young and Tarkowski have been poor this season.

Im not sure how an England u21 Centre back or a left back would do worse than either of them?

I think Branthwaite and Patterson have been the best CB and FB so far this season.

The experience in defence seems to have evaporated...

Another good game and still learning but thought he read the game well, not convinced that was a foul never mind a yellow one of few positives at the moment.

Not right now but in a seasons time possibly. He would've been useful as a rotation instead of Godfrey or Keane

From what I saw today, this lad is going to be pure quality. Sadly, where we are right now, we won’t be able to keep hold of him. I just hope when the time comes for him to move, that we get big money for him and invest it wisely in new players.
But given our past track record of buying players, I wont get too carried away.
