Because if he is anywhere near as good as I think he could be, then he won't be here for 10 years. Maybe 3 would be more likely.

He gets booked a lot , covering for other players .. Is that 4 yellows ?

No chance you get 3 years...has no intention of signing a new contract and having new owners wouldn't change anything...he will end up at united either next summer, or the one after.

He can sign a new much improved contract and still get a move in due course. He's a first team player now so will be in line for a pay rise you'd presume.
