It's surely unheard of. Jarrad is a huge part of that. Hope we can keep him for another season but I think he's the best talent we've had since Rooney.

His celebration and grabbing the badge/shirt was pretty emphatic. I’m be surprised if he isn’t happy to give us another year or two.

Aside from being a rock defensively he's probably got a Lescott type season in him where he can get like 6-10 goals. Might not be for us but he just has a presence in the box and good with his feet

I think many (including you) are seeing this the wrong way around.

Hes as valuable to us as a 20 goal forward.

You hold onto them unless the sale priced in his current and future value both on and off the pitch.

£80mil would be far too low.

By the way......big shout out to James Tarkowski, i criticized him massively last season for being rash & a bit of a knumbskull!
But Tarkowski too has been excellent for most of the season, and should/would be in that England team if he was at a more well rounded side like Villa/Newcastle!

Him, Tarkowski and Pickford are the best defensive trio we have had in some time. Probably going back to Moyes' reign. I know people are hit and miss with Jordan but think he's been on the whole solid for a few years now.

Jags and lescott were a good partnership ,

Yobo and weir and martyn ? Were they a group together ?

Jags and Lescott with Howard behind them will be most peoples pick I would imagine from Moyes' reign. Distin filled in nicely when Lescott left though and Heitinga was named player of the season one year.

Martyn would have had any 2 from Stubbs, Weir and Yobo in front of him. Martyn was great for us. Yobo was also a great buy but was prone to the odd mistake and we knew the issue with Stubbs and Weir. Despite them being good defenders they were both very slow.
