Love it that people are dismissing the Netherlands as some farmers league akin to L2 or something lol

Also the championship is apparently better.

Lads?

There’s a least a handful of pretty good teams in the Dutch league. The best team in the Championship is Watford. I’m struggling myself to see how it would be more beneficial for him to go there.

In the current climate this shows you nothing but who pays the most realistically.
I don’t really get your point? The argument wasn’t which league is more prestigious, it was which one would be more of a test for him. You suggested it was ridiculous to think the championship would be better and someone has highlighted that the quality of player in the championship is - theoretically - higher. Whether that’s because of money is entirely irrelevant.

Be a good challenge for him, wonder if his loan means we're getting another CB as we won't have much cover with him gone

Just hope the club can get him back if he isnt getting game time. I still have big hopes for him for us

….those deals don’t work like that unless PSV are desperate to get shut and even then they’ll have paid a fee for the full season.

Game time is a matter of Branthwaite earning a place in the opinion of his new Coach.

We have 5 first team centre backs (Mina, Keane, Holgate, Godfrey, Tarkowski), a young'un (Welch) and some emergency cover (Coleman, Gbamin maybe?). I expect someone else would have to leave before we signed any more.
