Unfortunately he will need more than size to be a successful premier League defender. At times last night and, especially towards the end of the match, he got too close to the attacker. A good attacker could spin him.
If only it was his second ever PL game, and he still had time to learn/develop. Oh wait...

I'll have him next year in a flash.

He may steal the starting job next year! Holgate and big Jarrod would be a pairing!

Settle down. He hasn't exactly been up against the most potent attacking teams in Sheff Utd and Villa. That said he's doing a good job defensively.

Passing is a bit wayward though, given the ball away about 4 times midway in our half which is very dangerous.

Giving the ball away is going to happen at 18. Keane has been doing it for years and is like 27 but we praise him. I’d take Jarrod over Keane any day just from what I’ve seen.
 
He's struggled at times today with his passing, but at least he's positive with it and tries to play through the lines when he can. Has done well overall and not looked out of place, which is very promising for someone of his age and experience.
