January Transfer Window 2026

In order of priorities for Everton: One striker, one right back, one centre back. A young GK in his early 20s we can develop for 4/5 years time as I'm not sold on these two.

Would possibly say two strikers so we can afford to send Barry on loan. Sell Patterson and Mykolenko. Don't want it to happen but McNeil is likely to be sold as well.

New contracts for Keane and Garner.

For me if we could sign a striker of the levels of; Richarlison, Jackson or Toney, it would really help us.
But if we don’t get pace into the side we will still be slow and predictable when we get the ball and still have issues creating goal scoring chances. We would be transformed by 2 fast, attacking fullbacks and I think they should be our priority.

January’s a difficult market, there’s not as much value as there so obviously is during summer.

There will be movement this January, because of the World Cup in the summer. Players who are not playing for their club will try to move to get game time.

I could certainly see a situation where Richarlison comes back. I think Ivan Toney has been told he won’t play for England if he is in Saudi. I think Spurs could sign him, which would free up Richarlison to move

I think we could get Juanlu from Sevilla at RB, he nearly went to Napoli in the summer and Paterson was lined up to go to Sevilla. We could propose 2 separate deals, but where we get Juanlu and they get Paterson. I think it’s only worth doing though if Moyes will put Juanlu in the starting 11.

I know you keep flogging the JOB at RB is fine and that fullbacks don't matter as much as other positions but it's clear to absolutely everyone else that not having fullbacks capable of attacking is destroying us creatively. JOB has been poor defensively this season too.
We could improve at RB for sure. But we also need two strikers, two centre backs and a left back. An athletic CB or a half decent striker would improve us more than a RB.

A decent striker would struggle with the same problems that our current ones do regarding being isolated. They may grab those missed chances by Beto/Barry more but they'd still get minimal chances. Our fullbacks don't provide any valuable width for us in terms of the attack.
