January Transfer Window 2026

I disagree a bit about Barry and Rohl I think, moreso on Barry - 22 (the age we bought them both at) *is* still young, and Barry never came through a proper club academy and instead was just playing in the French 5th division as recently as 2022. He was always going to be developing a lot later than most, he's had so much less coaching, and even less quality coaching.

Röhl also is a bit of a strange case in that he's only had about 1 full season's worth of top flight minutes and never played a single regular position. So there could be a lot of development to come still as most likely settles as an 8.

Even just taking into account their ages I don't think you can say signing two 22 year olds is evidence that there was no youth focus though.

As I said, they will both be "developed" but arent exactly Anzou/Dibling types.

At 23 if they'd come from another premier league side then i'd expect an immediate impact. Because theyve come from overseas there may be an adaptation period.

I didnt say theres no youth focus, that was Anzou & Dibling (Alcaraz from Jan was already at the club).

Rohl, Barry, Grealish & KDH doesnt smell youth focus to me - thats before 2 keepers were signed.

Moyes is prepared to pay quite large sums on some young players but never gives our own players a chance, we are often told we have some very good young players on our books, why not give one or two of them a chance or a least try them from the bench, but I suppose Moyes is to stubborn for that.

Which young players should be in the squad? I dont think anyone has said a player is ready to step up?

Did he f....

Made out it was a joke gone wrong...

And let's be honest we all know whats happened as we see it all too often in every day life....

The abuser promises he'll change, it won't happen again...

The fact is the girl made choices for her kid once she found out she was pregnant....

The promises of change coupled with a lifestyle she'd probably never see otherwise
...

Also when it comes to offences of a sexual nature, its something like 1% conviction rate..

Quite often it comes down to victims being told that its your word against theres when it comes to consent..

My partner was told that anything historical is very difficult to prove criminally and you risk them getting away with a not guilty even when you know the truth..

Tldr no amount of performance on the pitch excuses actions like that, we're not kopites
That's why he shouldn't even be a topic of conversation..

That's fair, it's just a matter of perspective, I just think it's unfair to not count buying 22 year old players who don't have more than one full top flight season of experience (in terms of minutes) when talking about buying young players for the future.

Braiden Graham, Justin Clarke, Omari Benjamin, George Morgan. So before you rip them to pieces I have not seen any of them play, its only what I have read about them after various games as reported by local journalists. Surely they cannot be any worse than the 2 we have now and anyway I am not for one minute suggesting them for 1st team selection right now but to try them for a few minutes off the bench

James Ward-Prowse will be available in January. Could improve the set pieces.

If we did want to put Garner at right back you can have JWP as a hybrid 8-10 leading a press and drop KDH deeper to play alongside Gueye.

This would be an option due to the small financial outlay required, rather than being a long-term solution, of course.

Rb needs to be bought in and well lb have no idea what moyes is doing with aznou. Could even have played hom similar to what he did with coleman as a lm. January is a big window for us need to see atleast two come in rb and cf. maybe more if sales

Seems to have a bad attitude and has been woeful in U-21s. Probably getting banished!

But if we have limited funds we need to get creative with what we have. Garner looks good at fullback.

Did see an video last week or not to long ago had rohl in two was moyes shouting in the backgorund encouraging him aznou. Plus been on the bench for the first team so if was attitude sure wouldnt be on the bench. Have to be pushing players out of the door mcneil patterson also have two loan spots and world cup year. Players will be pushing for moves so might be more quality this year for loans

Maybe he’s changed his ways. Some prior story said:

“Vincent Kompany was reportedly not happy with the youngster’s attitude and performance in training“
