….i actually think O’Brien has done a decent job but it’s the attacking dimensions quality conventional full backs give us. Such a waste when we have Grealish and Ndiaye that we don’t have full backs who are capable of linking with them.
It's glaringly obvious that Ndiaye and Grealish need fullbacks that are more capable going forward than JOB and Myko.

Actual pure criminal negligence if we don't at least try for a striker in Jan.
Who though?

Jesus (injured all the time)
Toney (too pricey, unlikely to come here)

Can't think of any others (in Jan) that'd improve make us better. I mean a goal from our striker would make us better in that regard.

We need players to improve the starting 11. It’s great we had money to spend in the summer, but the bulk of it was spent on players who ‘aren’t ready.’ The starting 11 yesterday had only 1 player we signed permanently in the summer (KDH) and 1 loan signing (Grealish). Whilst on the bench was Barry, Dibling, Alcaraz and Aznou- about £75m worth of summer spending.
2 full backs and a striker would make a massive difference. They don’t even need to be world beaters- just a basic football ability would improve our options in these positions.

Of course, which makes it all the more concerning that the recruitment team were happy to go into the new season without signing a RB.

As was said yesterday Kenny Tete was identified right at the start of the summer window. Guy is no world beater but proven prem player who's been a regular in Fulham mid table seasons.

Everyone thought he'd be signed but then changed his mind last minute. To then not seriously go after another RB with still two months of the window open boggles the mind.

Coufal was gettable aswell, now playing in the Bundesliga and someone who can overlap and get crosses in which is very much needed.
