January Transfer Window 2026

He’d be a very good signing in the KDH mode. Understated, just coming into his peak, can score and assist. Very little risk provided he stays fit.
Is he better than KDH though?

Whilst I get needing a squad, in my view, if we are spending money, it needs to be on better than who we have starting, meaning that our current starters drop to the bench and the squad is naturally improved. (Or youngsters that they believe will progress to be better than hat we have).

No point buying a player that isn’t going to play, because one of our better performing players is already there. (And yes I know KDH is currently injured but it’s short termism to buy a player on a lengthy contract for a current short term injury)

Well that’s me excited…I’ve wanted to see us burst for a long time
Whilst sitting in my car, waiting for Mrs TT to return from her doctors appointment, I sent a text (as Typhoo Toffee) to TS, agreeing with Simon Jordan's withering assessment of Strand Larson (donkey, not good enough to be a Premier League starting striker and would prefer Lukaku back) but forgot to turn the volume back up after getting the lowdown upon her return, so don't know if it was mentioned 🙄

As for a new DCL, knowing our luck we'll probably eventually get a decent striker who'll hit the ground running and become an ACL.

He plays on the wing. I don't think we can just focus on the first team. Look how many games Dwight McNeil has played this season. Harry Wilson has outperformed all of our attacking midfielders/wingers this season in terms of goals and assists.

About to turn 29 is not 'just coming into his peak' for a winger.

Not at all convinced by Wilson. Midtable squad player, which is exactly what he's always been. On a massively unsustainable hot streak with goals and assists this season, that's all.

Nothing wrong with having some midtable squad players in the squad - the clues in the name tbf - but would be weird if we end up replacing McNeil with someone not substantially better but 3.5 years older unless we can do it at a notable profit
