We were never signing a top striker this January. It's maybe not the most exciting development, but if Beto goes and this guy comes in without us being out of pocket then that's a net positive as far as I'm concerned.

Loan with option suits us too. Could be relatively shrewd business which is how you're supposed to use January window really, smart marginal improvements without breaking the bank.

The real job they should be judged on this month is getting fullbacks in, can be no excuses for that. Proper striker signing to come in summer.

Unless we are going to spend serious money on a striker a guy of this calibre on a loan with an option is probably as good as we are going to get.

Let's face he can't be any worse than Beto.

However all for nothing if we don't get a couple of full backs who can cross a ball.

I doubt we will make Europe for next season but if we make that plastic third European competition then I don’t think next season in the premier league will go very well, too many games while the squad is rebuilding. When Moyes has gone, completely gone from our club, hopefully we will begin that still long climb back to be a really competing club again.
only 41 games his season at least its 1 more than Man Ure so if Moyes stays on another year we then have to possibly wait 2-3 seasons for European football not exactly what i thought the new owners would be expecting
