This current Everton squad doesn’t sniff top 5 in that league. We’re absolutely buggered going down. The lowest point of this club’s history. Plus on the hook for a stadium that won’t be completed along with incurring massive amounts of more debt. This situation is unprecedented in the modern game. People need to wake up to how dire this truly is and hope Dyche can work a miracle

Changes need to happen. The board and Moshiri have a lot to answer for and if they are smart would all walk away. It is the people’s club after all.

Owners don't just leave when they are in for more than half a billion. It is up to us all now to make the club as good as it can be going forward so someone buys us. To that Moshiri needs to fire the board tomorrow as he promised a striker (at least) and the continuing fan unrest is not going to help here on in to allow a sale.

With a new and more talkative CEO, even if just temporary, who has run a decent club before, hopefully we can get past the cloak and dagger and lies crap that has been killing us.

You really wouldn't be confident of winning against any of those sides.

Yep, time for these players to show us what they are made of. Repay the fans for their amazing support last season.
Every single one of them will be having their agents sound out other clubs over the next few months. Not a chance they're going to want to be playing in the second division; unless they can't get a better financial offer elsewhere, in which case they'll sit tight and take every penny they are entitled to before skipping away on a free.

what will be will be mor ego life than Everton, it use to let them get to me no more life’s to short.
How can you say that. A bunch of millionaire men running / jogging around whilst playing / badly with an inflatable ball. What’s not to love ??

But Everton just has this way of….
One of the criticisms of FFP seems to be that it doesn't level the playing field. But it's never been about levelling the playing field. It's about getting clubs to stay within their means and not put 100+ year old institutions with huge cultural importance into massive financial peril because of the failings of short term custodians.

Of course there are clubs who benefited from huge investment before FFP came in but that's just life. Sometimes things happen at the right time for some and the wrong time for others. The Mersey Millionaires once benefitted from huge investment and were able to spend comparatively obscene amounts compared to 99% of professional clubs but I doubt there were many Blues bleating about the unfairness of it all back then.
I didn’t actually finish that post so not sure what happened there.

I agree with much of what you’re saying but in order to have any chance of success, teams need to spend beyond a proportionally low multiple of losses. In fact most would have to do so just to stay in the league.

Everton are an example of where FFP fails. We get ourselves into a terrible mess and granted that’s on them but as a result of FFP we are now unable to spend any money to save us from potentially what you’ve described above.

Indeed timing and luck of it is what it is but to bring in rules like these, after some have already solidified their positions, simply being in the right place at the right time, doesn’t seem right to me. I appreciate why FFP was introduced and I can see the logic but they’re privately owned businesses in the main and if you’re going to bring in constraints then let’s see wage caps, transfer caps based on league positions, some sort of draft system, a requirement for local talent to stay local and clubs having to stick with managers until a transfer window.

Mate, wake up and smell the roses. We've been getting turned down left right and centre by young kids from poor leagues the last couple of days.

How many of our targets in this window have we been beaten to by the likes of Bournemouth and Southampton?

I think that Frank was one of the worst manager's we've had out of a rotten bunch, by no means am I saying that he was amazing. The one thing he was good at was talking though, he has pull in the game and he knew how to utilize it. It's how he got the Everton and Chelsea jobs.

Dyche has absolutely no pull. If you were a player being pursued by Everton, he isn't the man that's going to convince you that our current form is a blip and that we're building something.

His mere presence suggests that we're probably going to be in the same place next season.
What a load of nonsense.Dyche didn't get us to joint bottom.
He was in charge of one day of the transfer window.
Lampard and his pulling power was here for most of it, same result.
how many people know who the Southampton, Bournemouth, most forest manager s outside of the prem
all had no trouble getting players in.

There's not a chance on this earth any of the board or Moshiri will be at the next home game. They know the vitriol and criticism that will be coming their way after this disasterous window, so another "totally legit threat" will be no-doubt received just in the nick of time.

(At least I hope it's a fake threat. No one wants to see Billy K in a pair of yellow speedos going full Hulk Hogan in the center circle, whacked off his tits on ketamine oiling himself up...)
