Exactly, he doesn’t score. Why on earth would any team needing goals go for him. He is a modern non scoring forward.

His goalscoring record is really poor. There is no way he is worth £40m, and by the way, McNeill will probably outscore him because he doesn’t score.
Use the kitty on someone who actually does score.
You say this, but last season he was only 1 goal away from equalling McNeil’s actual career total.
As Frank said himself, if we're going to spend the money we need a player who'll improve us here and now rather than be a squad player. We need goals.
