....Radio Grenal now reporting Everton haven’t yet made a bid for Everton Soares but have established contact. Borussia Dortmund also interested.

UOL say Gremio used to have 50% rights, with the other 50% being split between the player, his agent and former club, Fortaleza. Since August, however, Gremio own 65% which should make the sale easier. The Toffees are the main contender for his signature.

I’d like to say no smoke without fire but I just can’t see it. It would need to be a permanent deal which isn’t ideal this window and he plays in a position we’re pretty well covered in.

Fortaleza. Great night out.

Unless it has been accepted that we will finish in mid-table obscurity this season, then at the minimum we need a centre back and a central midfielder by the end of the window. Europe is very much still on so why on Earth would Brands continue to sit on his hands while we still have the chance?

The talk was 75mil euros last January when at the same time they were offering us 25 for Gana . But who really knows what Napoli would have sold for or what PSG actually offered.

While it’s most likely a load of rubbish, but I find it interesting that a lot of our fans, saying 40mil for a 29yr old. No chance and never happening, what about sell on value. Past his best.

Yet he’s only just 29 abc a year younger than Gana was when we got 30mil off PSG. And some think we should have got 50mil and PSG. had our pants down.

PSG have regular champions league money, a whole country funding them and a squad that isn't packed with overpaid wasters with no sell on value, we aren't in a comparable situation
