Hes not played for them much!

If memory serves me its about 3 starts and 4 sub.

Juve with their usual trick of signing top class free agents...would be a fantastic signing. Would know Digne (as you say) and also Sidibe.

Just to correct my self slightly I don't think Ancelotti signed him directly as he was a 17 year old signed to their academy but he did give him his debut in Lige 1 at 17, I know the question has been raised about whether Carlo will play youngsters so gives a bit of insight with regard to that. We were quite heavily linked with Rabiot in the summer, there were reports of Brands holding talks with his agent, at 24 he fits the profile of the type of player Brands has targeted for us, it could be a signing that both he and Ancelotti would agree on. we don't yet and perhaps won't know what the dynamic between the two of them will be but Carlos' is a gent I think he will want to work with the people at the club especially early on in his job here.

Rabiot is a team cancer

His contract issues at PSG we're after Carlo left, the best spell of his career to date was when Ancelotti was his manager.

Carlo Ancelotti will hold talks with Marcel Brands over the possibility of making signings in the January transfer window
.

But the new Everton manager says he would like to bolster the squad with “one or two” new faces next month.

Ancelotti takes charge of the Blues for the first time on Boxing Day before the trip to Newcastle United two days later and a New Year's Day clash at the Etihad Stadium with Manchester City.

Everton are still dealing with a raft of injuries that had left the squad down to the bare bones during the latter stages of the Marco Silva reign and into Duncan Ferguson's caretaker spell.

Theo Walcott and Morgan Schneiderlin (both calf) have missed the last two games while Alex Iwobi was brought off with a hamstring issue against Arsenal.

Andre Gomes is out for the majority of the season after breaking his ankle while Jean-Philippe Gbamin is not expected back in training until at least this month.

And so Ancelotti would like to bring players to the club in January but says he must sit down with director of football Brands first.

“We have an idea to invest and try to improve the team but I have to speak with Marcel first because he has an idea, I have an idea and together we can find the right solutions,” Ancelotti told the Echo.

“I think we don't need to make a lot of changes in this period. If there is a possibility to improve the squad with one or two players, it can be helpful, but we don't have to change a lot in this period because this squad didn't reach the level in this part of the season and I would like to help them reach their level in the second part.”

Ancelotti says he and Brands must form a “strong relationship” in the coming weeks and months.

“We've only had two or three discussions in the last few days but we are going to work together, we have to work together,” the Italian said.

“It is important to work together with the club and the players and the supporters.

“We have to build a strong relationship with each other, this is really important to have success and every decision we are going to take will be together, with the board, with Marcel and with me.”

It is understood that signing a right-sided centre-half and a striker are seen as priorities by Ancelotti for the summer window but he may ask for a temporary solution in those areas next month.

Just sack FFP off and take the year europe ban

Koulibaly
Coutinho
Werner
Mertens

Wont be in europe next season anyway.

The premier league has its own STCC rules as well.

We dont actually need to break any rules as long as we can shift out a heap of players on high wages during Jan and Summer + get some fees in.

If we just had 2 top signings in centre back and midfield we would look a different team.

With the PL looking to introduce point deductions in the coming season for any breach of financial regulations, that would seem a foolhardy proposition.
Starting next season with a twelve point deficit may prove too great a handicap for even the undoubted capabilities of Ancelotti to surmount.

Not sure Koulibalys age is an issue, he is 1 month older than VVD. Prime age for a cb.

Except Liverpool got 2 of the prime years for vvd we would miss out on for koulibaly and there's no guarantee koulibaly will be a success in the PL
Think he's far too expensive
