You wanna know the scary thing? Thats not even close to being accurate, if you add all those figures up and guess at the 1s without data, it comes to just over 90m, our wage bill is 142m. So every single 1 of those wages is lower than it actually is.
Where is that number from?

Good post.

Walsh was a hack, plain and simple. Nobody was coming to Everton, and he didn't want to look incompetent, so he signed whoever wanted to come. His signings didn't fit. Sigurdsson isn't a number 10 in this league, he just doesn't create for his forwards. Keane can't play a high line. Schneiderlin needs to play next to a ball winner. Pickford is a poor decision maker. Tosun and Niasse were desperation buys when nobody would come. All of this creates team chemistry problems.

And it was a time when Moshiri was new, so other club owners were testing him to see what duds they could sell us. Moshiri didn't realise he was getting fleeced by other clubs. The Swansea chairman must have died laughing selling us Sigurdsson for 45m pounds, when the starting price was 25m.

You can blame Walsh for a lot of things but Niasse wasn't one of them, he was signed before Walsh.

......good morning, Blues, here’s the Toffee transfer rumours for Thursday 9th January;

- According to Tuttomercatoweb, Everton are willing to ‘spend big’ on Lazio striker, Ciro Immobile. The 29 year old has scored 21 goals in 22 appearances this season. The report also says Lazio are very unlikely to let their star player leave.

- The Star continues to suggest Everton want St Etienne Centre-back, Wesley Fofana. They say Ancelotti has told Marcel Brands to sign a talented young defender.

- The Daily Star report Carlo Ancelotti has also instructed Marcel Brands to find him a new goalkeeper.

- Aksam again link Everton with a loan move for Steven Nzonzi. The 31 year old has struggled this season on loan at Galatasaray from AS Roma. Gazetta Dello Sport suggest West Ham interest in Nzonzi.

- Sky Sports say Crystal Palace are in talks with Everton striker, Cenk Tosun, over a loan move. The 28 year old does not want a return to Turkey.

- According to The Times, Schalke midfielder, Nabil Bentaleb, has been offered to Everton and Aston Villa. The 25 year old Algerian international joined from Spurs in 2017 and has not been part of the 1st team for 12 months because of ‘unprofessional behaviour’.

- There have been numerous Everton links to Gedson Fernandes, but the Star reckon the Benfica midfielder could be on his way to Chelsea. The Stamford Bridge club have officials in Lisbon to discuss an 18 month loan with £55m obligation to buy.

- Calciotoday suggest Everton, Arsenal and Leicester interest in Juventus Centre-back, Daniele Rugani. The 25 year old has only played 1 game this season but it’s suggested Juve are reluctant to let the Italian international leave this month.

- The Liverpool Echo reports Everton Academy products Beni Baningime and Morgan Feeney are both looking to earn loan moves this month.

- The Express continue to link Everton and a number of other clubs with Sassuolo’s 23 year old winger, Jérémie Boga. The Ivory Coast international has scored 4 goals in 18 games this season.

14 goals in 5 years in Russia, was never going to be a slotter in the prem
People like him because he’s a Brazilian and every once in a blue moon will produce a little bit of skill to go past a player, but his actual productivity in terms of end product is horrible.

A complete nothing player and another drain on the wage bill. He for me is prime to be sold, he was a bosman so any fee will be a “profit” which will help our FFP problems.

That list will just be guaranteed basic salary. Won’t include appearance fees, signing bonus etc.

So yeah it’s miles off what they’ll actually be paid. Even accounting for the wages of the rest of the staff including executives.

People like him because we strangely only seem to be able to play well when he’s on the pitch.

If you only look at the goals/assist column to evaluate a player your view on football is extremely limited.

He’s a good outlet and supports digne well but it is alarming how littt to me goal threat he offers. Add theo on the other side and our two main wingers really do not get enough goals or assists. You’d think getting rid and two more productive wide players In would solve a lot of issues.
Shame it’s not that simple

thank you @Eggs
Is it just me that finds the prospect of signing a forward called Immobile funny? And is having flashbacks to Bob Latchford...
