If Chelsea spend big on a defender, more than likely conte will go to a country he knows inside out and for a player he knows will fit his system perfectly, especially for that type of fee.

Throw 30m at Southampton for Van Dijk. I reckon they'd sell for that, they always sell their best players for 25-30m. Plus defenders (Stones aside) don't sell for that much in the Premier League. Mane went for 34m, they can't demand more for Van Dijk, especially once he slaps in an official transfer request.
