Cannot bring more players in without getting some off the wage bill. So the summer it will have to wait until.
Shall be interesting to see who Moyes allows to leave this summer, Nash I can see being released, and possibly Distin sold, midfield is threadbare, only upfront are we a little heavy, Jo is a gonner, Donovan is contracted to the MLS for 5 years, leaving Yak, Saha, Vaughan and Victor if he makes it back. Agard, Baxter and the Juke being youth products.

Jo and Neill gone!

Jo cost ? Give Pienaar and Saha improved contracts = ? How much left for increased squad size?

You have to factor inthe young lads mate too - if some progress as hoped the squad mightend need as much padding annually as in recent years.

Personally i think we should be onlyy taretting 1 -2 players of real qualityfrom this point on.

Then you have your natural wastage, fringe players leaving etc.

Just been confirmed on the OS:

Everton have agreed a deal to sign goalkeeper Jan Mucha from Legia Warsaw at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old Slovakian international will arrive on a free transfer under the Bosman ruling when his contract with the Polish side expires this summer.

He has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Toffees and will join on a 3-year deal at the end of the season.

Mucha has earned 13 caps for his country and has impressed in Poland after becoming the first-team regular in the wake of Lukasz Fabianksi's switch to Arsenal in 2007.

He will provide competition for first-choice stopper Tim Howard and is likely to arrive at Everton after this summer's World Cup.

Mucha earned his move to Warsaw in 2005 after twice winning the Slovakian league title with MSK Zilina.
The 6ft 3in custodian has played in excess of 70 times for Legia Warsaw, one of the most respected teams in Eastern Europe.
