From memory he was better than the Chebe and he is now coming good, perhaps we got rid of him too quick.

such a shame! When he 1st came on the scene I was telling everyone how he'd be England's no 9 for years - he had everything - pace, agression, shooting and heading ability. Injuries ruined him and now he'll only ever be a decent championship player

Didn't develop as he should because of injuries. 5 goals in 21 in a lower league doesn't sound like we have made a mistake though.

He had a spell in late 2007 where he genuinely looked like he could be an excellent player.

He was brilliant against John Terry in that game where we were denied being the first team to beat a Mourinho team at home by some very dodgy decisions.

When we got rid of him i did question the decision to keep Anichebe over Vaughan.. However, Anichebe seems to be showing everyone why Moyes kept hold of him.
Hope the lad is over his injuries, good player!
His penalty at Wembley was boss as well, someone as young as he was to be so cool taking a penalty in a semi-final was brilliant.

Always liked him from the moment Duncan passed to him and he scored against Palace, he just had no luck with injurys. I remember being at the Reebok and he got yet another freak injury.

Really hope he makes it back in the Prem with a team. He said on Twitter he would like to make it back to Everton one day.

That cut he got at Bolton was horrific. Always liked the lad, but I think the Championship is the perfect level for him.
