I don't think Tarkowski has been bad this season but he has had a couple of phases like start of the season & right now where he is letting us down. I do think he needs replacing this summer though as a first team player. We need a new CB anyway as Branthwaite can't be relied upon.

Not quick, not mobile, not commanding in the air, fake hard man, been poor this season, surely can't be a guaranteed starter next season.

Poor at the corner, bailed out of attacking the ball for the winner. Needs to be a squad player next season. Has been comfortably our poorest CB this season.

In an ideal world it has to be a new right back and then shift O'Brien into the middle to take Tarkowski's place.
Not good to be playing in a side chasing Europe and not sure he ever has been. A brilliant defender for a side deep inside their own half but his limitations have always been there on the ball and when he's asked to push up the field.

I mean, you can't really argue with the goals against this season (5th lowest).
But there have been far too many individual mistakes from him in possession, a complete lack of real leadership in him trying to initiate scraps on the field out of nothing, etc.
Our record at set pieces in both boxes is horrendous and he's supposed to be relaying the tactics (if there are any) and ensuring the players stick to them.
And unfortunately things appear to be getting worse quickly, at exactly the wrong time.
He definitely can't be starting games next season unless we're completely injury ravaged—but we all know he's first name on the teamsheet.
