2025/26 James Tarkowski

Didn't he come back in the Summer after a horrible hamstring injury that would have kept 99.9% of other players out for so much longer.

He wasn't great first half of the season at all, but some of these takes are just stupid.

A reckless bully ? that kind of shout from a poster tells me he has never played a 90mins of football in his life..
Maybe he got bumped in to when he was a kid and was to scared to put his feet back on the field again and now blames Tarks for it.

Yet he also say's he's played rugby 🤔

Tarks will put himself infront of anything for the shirt, and we have certainly needed that rare mentality in recent years..
Big part in keeping us up in the dark seasons.

Losing an edge of what pace he ever had now and seems to be winding in some of the antics early season, which he needs to in a VAR obsessed era.

Overall happy to see him stick around as back up 1-2 seasons max whilst JB and JoB take on their roles. Brilliant attitude.

Thanks James, you're handing over a position in WAAAY better health than you found it.

Back again with the Tarks hate…

Play another record mate, this one is broken.
Bizarre how we have fans who come out with rubbish like this because people are rightly calling out that a player isn't playing well.

Tarkowski isn't good enough to be playing for us and has become a liability. He has no pace, his passing is shocking and he's started to lose his head in games regularly causing him to make big mistakes that cost us.

Shiny new stadium, new owners but same old loser mentality from fans.

And yet his stats are still in the top percentile and we have one of the best defences in the league.
How does that work?

Stats mean nothing when we've spent the last 5-6 years hovering around the relegation zone.

We've stayed up because we have England's best keeper playing for us and because we've basically played with 9-10 men behind the ball with defensive tactics.

He's a yard dog and although he's served us well overall he shouldn't be anywhere our starting line up.

essentially he’s a modern day Stubbs

and as great as Stubbs was, we were that bit better once Lescott, Jagielka and Yobo were all playing at CB
Yup, brutal truth of sport right there...

But it highlights for me just HOW important Tarks has been. His attitude and ability has been part of keeping us Premier League.

Had JB been older in the dark times he might've played more, but also we might just add easily have sold him given the money situation.

So I feel it's been on players like James to see us through that and therefore build, and in that period that's the best kinda player we could reasonably have hoped for.

What's your back 4 starting line up?

Ooof.

This is true in terms of Dycheball... But James did the job well that was asked of him in those situations. Many turn their noses up. Dyche did well too with all the crap surrounding the team.

But I'm not a ST holder and respect to the fans that shelled out through thick and thin because the football was grim.

And now we're looking up.. JB, JoB and others who've been able to develop because of the space and time Tarks job and commitment has brought.
