Looks like his season is over.

What a player he's been though. Even this season when his standards haven't been quite what they were in the last couple of seasons he's been crucial to us staying up.

He'll be leading them out at the new stadium next season though.
Last season before the armband is handed on to J Pickford.
 


For those more knowledgeable on these things, if it's a tear, would he have been able to walk off without a stretcher? Hoping he just strained it...

Was it hamstring? Didn't see it. But I strained my hamstring in February and it's still not right (not a tear though). I can walk but it's painful at times. Obviously he'll get the best treatment that money can buy, but it really made me realise how such a slight injury can take ages to heal.

Just a hunch from the way he immediately stopped moving, called for a sub but was able to walk off.

Would be a shame if it turns into a niggling thing for him, been practically invincible since he signed.
