Unfortunately a player like James came here to early in our so called project. TBH the whole lot that have been involved in this project have failed miserably. It’s a transition season and imo anything better than 10th isn’t a bad season with who we have got. It won’t be until next summer we can start to dream about becoming a bigger team.
Yep, next year is our year

Ah well, back to the usual [Poor language removed] and signing people off the back of other teams Amazon prime series.

Yes it’s a shame its gone this way, but just spending high money on average players just isn’t the way to go. But were are where we are we must regroup and try to be a team and not individuals, at The end of the day it’s a team game, for so long most of the time we don’t play as a team. One thing is the owners will have learnt from this and money will be spent much more wisely in the future.
Yes hopefully those days of the last few years when we spent huge fees on players that no other club, anywhere, were interested in buying are over like Siggy, Iwobi, Tosun although James was wanted eventually by some club in Dubai and went there for the money, again.

strange thing we had dead wood to get rid of, then bought more players in a year they were dead wood. Bad habit we must get out off. But apart from James the rest brought in last summer have done ok Without being spectacular, but they have turned out to be good players to build a team around.

Yet again you fall back on your default defence with the 1.5 mil spend.

Even with the injuries we have, he still had the players at his disposal last night to beat a bang average Championship team and progress to the last 16 of a cup.
You'd think they were all strangers who were just passing the way they bang on. Not a team of players who have all had significant game time in the premier league maybe Gordon aside.

Just been quietly watching this space in the undying hope he and Benitez would resolve their issues and we would actually get to see the most talented individual player I have seen in our colours since 18 year old Rooney, Kanchelskis before him… then we start moving to the 80s.

So unfortunate and yet so typically Everton he didn’t get to experience a full Goodison Park under lights.. and vice versa. Why can we not have nice things?

He was unreal those first few games until the RS decided to take him out…and he wasn’t really the same after. Moments of brilliance interspersed with periods of injury.. never seemed to get the sustained game time he started the season with. But man.. how good was he in those games when he could stay fit. His highlight real of visionary passes that we know no one else in our team would see let alone execute..the lad is a genius with the football at his feet.

I feel his problem is the world wants players who are good when the ball is not at their feet too and don’t want to build a team around that player. Carlo to his credit did initially but then lost confidence.

I’m gutted. Not just cos he lights up the field when he plays and is so far ahead of the rest of the side, but cos he would have been such a valuable member of the side … going to Qatar. What a waste .. for him and for us.

That Everton statement:

"The 30-year-old Colombia international moves to the Middle East after 12 months at Goodison Park.
Having joined from Real Madrid in September 2020, James made 26 appearances in all competitions for Everton last season, scoring six goals."

That's basically Everton giving him the finger.

A no mark and a footnote in the club's history.
