What a day - Anichebe hailed by the manager as being a key player for the upcoming season, and McFadden linked with a return move.

Talk about poking a stick into a hornets nest.

terrible signing if we do get him he was at the club for years and people only remember him for the goal against charlton does anyone else remember him doing anything else memorable or even half decent

We need a squad lads.

I can see him looking at the SPL, and fans moaning we missed out....

I assure you that would not happen. He wasn't good enough for us 3 years ago, his cruciates have just gone, he played only 4 times last year for a team that was relegated. The SPL isn't even as good as the Championship. Signing him would be like admitting we are going nowhere.

silly season has been doing my head in so i havent posted recently but i'd welcome jimmy back personally. good legs, gives 100% and wouldnt be too expensive wages wise.

on a completely unrelated note i genuinely dreamt last night hibbo scored with a low piledriver from the edge of the box. riots followed.

And he'd have a point to prove.

And he's Scottish.

davek's head is going to explode.

I'd take McFadden back on a free...

Let's face it, if we have no money, and we don't, we can't afford to spend what limited transfer budget we have on players for all positions, and forward is a position we are short in. He knows the club, and from all accounts, was well liked by players and staff, he has the ability to change a game out of nothing, and if need be, can play on either wing as back up, and he is "home grown", and still only 28.

If we got him for nowt, we could still, fingers crossed, go for 1 big marquee signing when Yak and Yobo go.

However, I do have to say, following all that, which is me looking at the situation objectively, that I can't believe I'm even having to argue this case...

But that's how lame we are, and needs must...

I think he would be a great move, everyone on here saying otherwise needs to look at how thread bare our squad is we just dont have any options but to look at this type of signing

Lets welcome him back with open arms
