James McCarthy

So basically Dave, injuries and loss of form for 18 months only counts when it's a player called McCarthy - when it's Baines - we should get rid, despite the fact he's twice the player McCarthy is or ever will be?

Anyway the boss has dropped him and bought a player to start ahead of him already, and seems to be trying to get another in - so yeah Koeman rates him very highly mate

Or possibly talking up a player to kjeep their value high for a sale, who knows eh, bet you he never starts a serious game when both Gueye and Barry are fit though this season either way :)
No mate, you fell at the first fence again. I'm saying Baines shouldn't be our starter at FB because he's not a defender.

Dropped him? He started the first three competitive games and is now injured.

I know there's some exotic named Brazilian player in the Ukrainian or Azerbaijan league you'd probably like us to throw £60M at or something, but it really isn't going to happen.

Williams I don't count as one, he was living and working in Wales when he decided to play for them. I find it great that he decided to play for the country for who gave him a living as a professional footballer and wanted to play for them.

I think given the opportunity, McCarthy would play for another nation in a blink of an eye. Look at him for us, he has to fight for his place and he wants out.

'Williams qualifies for the Wales national football team through his maternal grandfather Bill Rowlands from Gelli in Rhondda.[18] He made his international debut on 26 March 2008, two days before securing his move to Swansea City'.

Still think Koeman can make McCarthy a better player as he did with Steven Davis.

Why wasn't he in the squad today? Read something about Koeman saying he needs an operation but to be honest I really don't see him still being here past deadline day. Think the writing is on the wall and the lad himself knows it.

Someone somewhere posted he was injured.

But it does look bleak for him here. Shame. Like the lad, but his limitations dont seem to fit.

LOL Dave - is mccarthy a fullback is he now, because mate he wasnt starting in the league in his preferred position was he, basically dropped, and wouldnt have been starting today would he? pulled off after how many minutes last time he started a league game was it?

Show us one Brazillian i've suggested we sign Dave? poor choice of retort mate, is that what your 'game' has come down to now, the ban has seriously weakened your game mate

Would i like us to sign a much better centre mid than McCarthy though - damn right i would, he isn't good enough and it's why WHEN we sell him mate he won't be going to any good team - he will end up signing for a team which will be fighting relegation - thats his level.

But fair enough he was our player of the season, no not the official one, but the fan one, oh wait not that one either... (think that was the way you went on that particular fabrication wasn't it?)

Isn't that three times Koeman's said he doesn't want to lose McCarthy?

Three times ?

Oh, that's not good, that normally is followed by a move these days. Hopefully McCarthy's injury is enough to put off any potential buyers because I think Koeman is the sort of coach who can really bring on someone like McCarty.

It doesn't sound hopeful though.

I suggest, seriously, that the word "traitor" is not used again in this thread. It is deeply offensive and unacceptable.

Bringing any aspects of politics, religion, or any other form of tribalism, into discussion on Everton is very inappropriate in my opinion.

Mail on line saying he has asked for a transfer.

Hope he's back from injury soon and back in the squad. Dint know what some people will do if he's sold . find a new obsession I suppose.

FB? Those out side ahead of the three in the first game played tucked in...he was hardly asking him to do stuff he didn't do under Martinez covering over for Coleman when required. It;s not like he asked him to go in goal!

You do love your players in the east. No question of that. Only thing is players from that part of the world are dodgy for one reason or another. We'd be wise swerving them and their agents.

I suppose when/if McCarthy leaves he wont fall on his feet...the same as the last manager didn't...hold on....
