Not at all happy with mediocrity. He's had a bad game today. I don't think he's mediocre though. I think given a certain, designated role (as he was in the first season) then he's an extremely effective player.

Barry was slated as being awful in the 14/15 season, too old and past it....player of the season in 2015/16

McCarthy has been mixed the past two seasons but was superb in his first with us, still think it worth trying to see if he can regain that confidence and form under a new manager and different fitness regime.

I like McCarthy but if we are to push for top 4 I dont think he will be good enough for what we want now from Everton, can see him going somewhere like Sunderland.
