Would appreciate it if some of you take a look at McCarthy's tackle on Amaltifano last year, then look again at the one on Payet on Saturday. You really think McCarthy didn't mean it? He has deliberately set out to hurt two players.

Don't think McCarthy injured him on purpose. Doesn't get away from the fact that a scissor tackle injuring an opposition player is the most 'useful' thing he's done all season. For me he's a very average player but I can see why others like him because he runs around a lot looking angry fouling people.
