McCarthy is a great "terrier" he will run down the opposition and break up their play, but his real strength is his continuity work. To use a car analogy, if the team is an engine, McCarthy is the oil, he slicks the play up and allows more room and time to work in for our creative players. His driving runs are something I hadn't seen of him before, it's good. Makes people think twice about whether or not he's just going to pass it and offers him new angles to pass from whilst pinning defenders down.

Agree, prepared to play the game and doesn't shy away from his responsibility, just like Barkley, the yellow card tally for both just shows how soft the rules are getting.
