Genuinely thought in that 1st season that he was the best in the prem at what he did, covered every blade of grass and always seemed to hassle the opposition into giving us the ball.

Hamstrings slowed him down and then the broken leg finished him, shame really.

Lets hope we're giving him to Palace on the cheap as a sweetener on the Zaha deal

Ignire them. He gave 100 when on the pitch. People blame him for playing internationals and getting injured. Thise same people are blind when remembering martinez played him 2 times when not fully fit. He was limping around in 1 match feeling him hamstring and martinez left him on for another 30 mins. Mccarthy was out for 8 months after it.

I'm not sure anyone could have possibly predicted that, but I'd say it's the type of maximum we can expect for any other player in the last year of their contract, Niasse, Besic, Mirallas etc

I would guess they would me more appearance clauses than performance clauses.

Silva seemed to question his attitude in training the other day. Not the first rumblings I've heard about his application either. But he runs round loads on the pitch and doesn't have a funny foreign name so his attitude must be top notch I suppose.
