A good committed professional footballer, not good enough for the pointy end of the Premier League. He will struggle to get into match day squads at Everton next season. Needs a new challenge and an injury free spell. We need a youngest with potential on lower wages filling his spot.

If he can stay fit then I'd love to have him as an option off the bench or as back up in case Gana gets hurt

On his day he's a really good defensive mid. He just needs to keep healthy. If he can do that and is happy playing a support role then it's a no brainer for me

If he’s consistently fit (AS IF) then I’d imagine he’d want to be playing far more consistently than we will ever be able to offer him, especially after so long out.

He could certainly do a job at a lower half Prem team. Just needs that fitness.

Therein lies the problem. He needs to drop down a division tbh. One year left maximum on his contract I hope. Hopefully he'll be convinced by a lower wage but over a number years. Had enough of him making millions off Everton while sat on his arse, then magically becoming match fit to play for his country. Do one lad.

Remember when we thought we had our midfield sorted for ten years with him and Barkley back in 2013. Shame about the injuries, he puts it about in a way that the other midfielders in the squad could learn from. Played well under Koeman for a few games where we beat Arsenal then we’re outmuscling Liverpool until he went off, grandad Barry came on, and we didn’t see the ball for the entire second half.

Signed a 5 year contract in 2015, so yeah I'm pretty sure he has one year left
