Disgusted with some of the posts on this thread.

James McCarthy suffered a broken leg after a tackle from Salomon Rondon back in January
There are some on here who seem to believe he should have played on or at least have come back after a few weeks.

There are others on here who forget that the image relates to only the latest in a list of injuries that is so long that it rivals that of Darren Anderton.

McCarthorse joined us in September 2013. He's been here for five and a half seasons now, and has played a total of 132 games across the prem, the FA cup, the league cup and the Europa League. He's missed something approaching 100 games in the same five and a half seasons.

He's done. There is nothing disgusting in that assessment.

i know we usually have short term memory about the lads with injuries, but the first season with Barry he was excellent. The two injuries really slowed him down and I think we have not seen him at his best since 2013/14

It was his own mistake that caused the necessity for such a brave tackle in the first place.
Yet we continually slate our entire squad week in week out on this site that none of them play for the shirt or "make such brave tackles"

At least McCarthy put his body on the line to right a wrong, rather than this current lot that go deer in headlights when errors are made
