Yep. That would be McCarthy playing a poor ball to Schneiderlin after turning back into trouble a second earlier, just like I told you happened. Cheers for going to the trouble of proving me right though, appreciate it.
Yeah you're right I confused Keane with Schniderlin, still - blaming McCarthy for breaking his own leg - state of it.

Gana and Keane weren’t even playing you utter dangers.

It was his fault, he dwelt on the ball and was closed down, he panicked and played a ball about a yard -as he does - to Schneiderlin. It was behind him and as it was Schneiderlin he couldn’t sort his feet out to get it. They picked the ball up and played in rondon, and McCarthy tracked him and made the tackle.

If I remember rightly. Schneiderlin let it run through his legs and turned like an 18 wheeler

The whole situation was schneiderlin not anticipating any danger and having his head in the clouds. Not McCarthy.

I’m not blaming him for breaking his leg am I, I’m just saying he was - at least partly - responsible for the situation unfolding in the first place and so wasn’t quite the hero of the piece he’s sometimes painted as.
But you're wrong because there was nothing wrong with his pass inside to shneiderlin. Shneiderlin misjudged it, letting it run through his legs. McCarthy got back well to deal with rondon.

Btw, after Reid was virtually written off as 'injury prone' he managed to limp his way to a few shiny things. Amongst them...

"he enjoyed the most fruitful spell of his career, as he helped the club win domestic and European honours, including the Football League twice. He was voted as the PFA Players' Player of the Year in 1985 and came fourth in the World Soccer Player of the Year award, behind Michel Platini, Preben Elkjær and Diego Maradona. He also received his first senior England call-up that year, and represented his country at the 1986 FIFA World Cup and 1988 UEFA European Championship"

Not bad for a fella who was considered injury prone.

So, yeah, let's punt Jimmy Mc cos he's injury prone. ;)
Yeah love reidy. Domestic career, ok at international level and did the biz at
Sunderland.

Coulda/ Shoulda chopped Maradonna tho. Would rather have him here, or Moyes, than Silva. Mistake.

Yeah every footballer loves a pass from a yard away, directly to feet, while they’re running don’t they?

Schneiderlin was partly at fault aswell of course. It was an awful pass - and He only had to play it in the first place because he’d turned back into trouble for no reason - but Schneiderlin should have dealt with it better.

So I’m not ‘wrong’ jimmy, I just have a different - let’s call it ‘significantly better’- understanding of the situation to you
