James McCarthy - I'm not impressed

sounds like a minor point, but I think it looks like his boots are "digging in" and possibly ill-fitting

think he may just need to break them in a bit more, they may be new and therefore pinching a bit
He was rested for the Ireland game due to a problem with blisters which would match with what you are seeing.

He played more as a AM for the Ireland game against Georgia with two other players filling his "cover the ground tackling anything" role and he got up field plenty and gave a lovely assist to McGeady's first goal. He was withdrawn immediately after McGeady scored the winner, presumably as he was still having problems.

no worries Double L

let's see if I can diagnose any other ailments within our squad as I'm clearly fkn boss at it

I guess James is this weeks scapegoat. Was he really so bad that it warrants a thread about him ?

Has Coleman and Baines been at their best yet ? I don't see threads about them. Or is that next week

No mate.

Something I do wonder though: We have McCarthy, Coleman, and McGeady all from Ireland. They're all pretty ace.

Yet, Ireland are still awful?

other 7 - Gibson is as equally ace as McCarthy, Coleman and McGeady

Oh, yeah, Gibbo too.

I guess Keane used to be good, but he's just old now.

Looking through their squad list though, it's otherwise just all people I've never, ever heard of before.

It would have been Ossie, but considering he did well when he came on Macca has drawn the short straw, look out Gaz Baz could be your turn soon.
