The back 4 have had a kick up the arse and the same needs to go for the two lads in the middle. You cannot knock off after 45 mins against quality oppo like tonight -Jags would have been well within his rights to have a go at those two in the middle tonight in the second half.

McCarthy might not be at his best at the moment, but his performances of last season where absolute quality. So much so, he went from being a potential expensive risk to an absolute bargain. He'll never be amazing on the ball, but he does the hardest job of anyone on a football pitch, running and working without the ball for long periods, and stopping other teams from playing. Average in the first two games and then terrible against Chelsea and also WBA, I was impressed with literally every other player (Naismith had a quiet game but we all know how well he's been playing otherwise).

McCarthy can't even play well when we play well, what's up with that?
