He didn’t, and they still had too much for us in there. Our midfield is a long way behind those in the top half of the prem. We’re too slow and not good enough on the ball in the central areas.

Joelinton moved to centre mid because he was better there

Garner is better at right back he plays there from now on

His corners were much better today, dropping high onto the near post. Usually they're flat and fail to beat the 1st man.

Probably best for him to force the 5th yellow on Saturday...gueye and tim will be back after Saturday, so we can afford no garner at chelsea, and then back for arsenal with gueye out to the afcon.

Has been the best right back at the club literally since he joined. A pity he is often one of our better midfielders, especially this season, so is needed there. Touch and go when he was younger whether coaches made him a full back or midfielder. Don’t think either would have been wrong.

But as a team we are 100x better with him playing right back.
