Couldn’t disagree more. Full backs are up against the faster players on the pitch and still expected to be creating chances at the other end.
Then how come so many interviews with defenders end up going down the route of "I got started off as a [blank] but I wasn't good enough, so I got moved back". @Armaghtoffee

Exactly…. I don’t understand the easiest position on the pitch argument.
Not in this era of footy anyway. Maybe in the past, but nowadays you have to be good at both aspects of the game.

His energy and quality on the ball improved us from that position. Feel a bit sorry for him though as I don't think you want to be a good midfielder (which he is) that ends up at full back.

Yesterday he recorded, out of this season, his second most progressive passes, second post total progressive passing distance, and second most completed passes into the final 3rd. The 1st most in all of those was against Villa when he played LB. He's just soooo much better at moving the ball up the pitch as a fullback. Tried a beautiful curved through ball to Barry that very very nearly came off too.
Looked a touch suspect 1v1 defensively but hopefully that can be worked on.
