Right now he's not a starter for a team aiming to be in the top 10. A neat and tidy player but doesn't do enough on or off the ball to get the team playing in games like today.

He should be used at right back, whenever he's played there he's done a job. Not a midfielder

….wondered if he was tasked with keeping an eye on Palmer today. He wasn’t man-marking but early on Palmer broke into the box and Garner followed the run to dispossess. After that Garner seemed to be looking after him for much of the match.

Put him at RB for the last 4 games.

He can maybe save us some money next season once we start alternating the use of Branthwaite/Tarkowski/O'Brien at CB.
