Next 6-12 months will probably decide if his future is at the level we want or at a Bristol City type club. Moyes is generally good at refining players, knock some of his stupid habits out of him, like running around the ball so he can try to swerve passes over defenders heads, literally never works now or never for the lad i feel. Decent right back though

Garner and McNeil are good players to have in the squad. Reliable 6/10 players who throw in the odd 8/10 game.

Both also English and combined they were signed for under £30mil.

If we could sell both for £40mil then on paper it does look good. However, who do we sign to replace them with that makes it worthwhile?

Garner has a 1year option. I'd probably look at extending him and McNeil this summer and then in 12months see if there may be buyers.



Who says were after 2?

Surely makes more sense to sign 1 RW + another player who can play across the front.

Then we have 3 attacking mids + mcneil & a new signing rotating.

I did say that in another post, about maybe 1 and a floater, but apparently he wants 2 and another 10, maybe the other 10 is an attacking midfielder who can play a few roles. But we will definitely buy after Barry, 3 more attackers

If (as looks likely Keane goes that only leaves 3 CBs so O Brien will be needed there and then that leaves us with no RB
DCL going only leaves Beto as a CF

I'm confident Barry will sign, that ticks off the CF position imo.

I've been saying in hope that I'd like us to sign a top RB (mentioned Wesley himself a few times) but it seems like defence is all about frees this summer.

So, aside from the attacking midfield positions such as RW + someone who can play across the pitch, I think we'll sign a DM/CM.

The Morten Frendrup links make sense. Without Gana we dont have a hard running, hard tackling player in the middle.

For the 2 positions, Armstrong may be loaned but in any case would be a rotation player. Garner in an ideal world should be a rotation player and Iroegbunam for me, needs a big preseason.

The team needs a strong centre and I think we need a top CM to come in, or at least someone with a lot of potential.

I'd hope for Ederson at Atalanta but Frendrup may be the 2nd best option?

Well he will have his medical in America and terms will be sorted to. He doesn’t have to be in finch farm. Obviously Everton are not going to announce it today or even tomorrow, but it’s as good as done
