Baffling performance considering he hasn’t had 43 behind closed doors friendlies, 3 weeks at a German rehab centre and 20 minutes for the U21s before even being allowed to train with the 1st team.

Who knew the only real categories of availability are “injured” and “not injured.”

But is he premiership ready?

That forward pass/assist is why he's such a big player for us. We don't have another centre midfielder capable of that IMO.

God when was the last time we saw someone play a pass like that from deep? Gorgeous.

MOTM so far for me, we really missed his combination of passing and speed.... and he tackles well to.

No offense to Mangala, but the view on him is that hes "tidy". Theres nothing wrong with what he does. But Garner brings extra, makes the team better. Another midfielder like him and that midfield is roaring.

Last one I can think of is the Deulofeu one at Bournemouth for Lukaku….. shows what a dearth of actual football we’ve had to live with for years….
