Barely put a foot wrong and is such a natural presence in midfield - always carries the ball forward with confidence and purpose. Long may it last.

An all to rare bit of value with this acquisition. Speaks that he wanted to play and regularly so stepped away from where he'd been in the youth set up to do so. Like him, think he's game for getting stuck in. 8 or 9 Million wasn't it? Bargain.

I do like this kid, the kid can play but he also does the working, his workrate is top class...chases, tackles and shows for the ball all the time. All around midfielder

Him and Onana are a great pair, grit, battle, physical, mobility and…can play a bit!!

Such a difference from weasels like Morgan Schnederlin and some of the other fraud centre midfielders we’ve had to watch over the last 5 years.

…..he’s looking a terrific piece of business.

i notice him right behind DCL when the keeper made that terrific save. He was also alongside McNeil when he floated that header just wide in the first half. i love seeing him with the energy and willingness to hit the box, he’s decent in the air (remember him hitting the bar with one for England U21s).

I predict he’ll score a goal around the 6 yard box soon and it could be a header.
