'kin hope so!
Love watching this lad develop. Stay fit, and keep your feet (and passes) on the ground James!
If there was one player in the last 10 years I thought we were crying out for when I watched him in his early days at Norwich it was James Maddison. I see some of the same in James Garner and hope he continues to progress in the same way.
There's an honesty in the lad's work rate that alongside his growing influence with ball is just old school awesome to watch.
High hopes.
Early days but I think Garner may have a better engine, is quicker and better at winning back possession. Maddison is a better dribbler.Although Maddison has more in his locker, I have mentioned to my brother that I see similarities between them. It’s their bios and also their technique and eye for a pass and composure

In fairness Maddison is five years older and has about 150 more Premier League appearances to his name. I think Garner can be every bit as good as him in a few years, a great signing for us. Hopefully he'll still be with us when he realises his potential.Although Maddison has more in his locker, I have mentioned to my brother that I see similarities between them. Why are you so obsessed with our players playing for England? Keep them away from that toxic set up.If we go with the 3 at the back then it should benefit Garner (and Branthwaite) with England.
The comparisons with Madisson im not really sure on as for me Garner would be in the area where Rice and Phillips are..
If he can get some consistency and deliver 7 or 8/10 performances each week then he has a change to break into the squad.

At last something we have sorely missed. A player who can withstand tackles, retain the ball and also turn, run and press forward with it. Hes the real deal and looks like he's found his niche. Onwards and upwards, lad.
I think the answer is that between Garner and Onana they made all the tackles. No tackle was found unused or leftover that evening.Does anyone know how many tackles he won that game
