That 6 anchor role is exactly where Onana played all his career and plays for Belgium

Mindblown why Lampard and Dyche wanted to "improve his all round game" in the box to box role last season -- just use him in the correct position ffs.

Yeah people keep missing this. He made a few high profile mistakes (Brighton at home, Arsenal away come to mind) which stick out in peoples' memories, but he was our best player in a lot of games last season.

I agree with this 100%.... You can see he is a different player in the 6 role.

FL used him as the fulcrum of our midfield play and he just can't do that.

Gueye can help protect the back four, win back possession and then give the ball to someone who can play and he should never, ever, ever be allowed to shoot on goal.

Only very special players can be a complete MF player.

People saying Gueye needs replacing are talking out of their anus as far as I'm concerned. They know nothing about football...like those people who dont see the value of Doucoure.
