Jakub "Kuba" Błaszczykowski

I would not have guessed that pronunciation looking at it, but it actually sounds like a pretty badass name if you are right.

Yeah, it's weird. About 95% sure that's how it's read, it may be "Blazshikovski", with the Z being nearly silent, but it would be hard for English-speaking people to say it like that, I think.

Hmmm thinking about it...

Us signing a central midfielder (is that what he is?), seems unlikely...UNLESS....you what know what...

The second letter is pronounced as 'w' not 'l', so it's more like bwash (like slash) chee kov ski.

BTW - he's good, quite small but a good winger, works hard and is apparently a good leader on and off the pitch.

Plays for the two-in-a-row German Champions and soon to be involved in the CL.

Of course he's going to sign for us.

Think this is a jarg link, but he is a great player who is rarely first choice at Dortmund, much more chance of him leaving them than either Pizczech or Lewandowski.

Is it pronounced Blaz - ee - cov - ski?

I take it (as he's apparently boss) that either it's complete JARG or it would mean Felli could leave. *lip trembles*

EDIT: Blashikovsky seems the way to pronounce it.
