2025/26 Jake O'Brien

Moyes needs to stop hanging him out to dry at right back even if it means playing Coleman or Patterson as we have no balance down the right which is compounded by playing McNeil as a right wide player
Moyes will never admit he is in the wrong. He made the decision alongside the recruitment team to go with obrien at rb for the season. That's fact. They decided to strengthen in other areas and spent huge sums of money on unproven talent like dibbling...he has an opportunity to correct that decision in a few weeks time. Let's hope he takes it.

The only possible explanation could be he was trying to distract the Arsenal player, but even then it's an insane move.
Its very obvious he shouldnt have had both hands in the air , but to get things right he had one Arsenal player barging him from the side then another from behind as he was leaping.
He was very nieve and it has ultimately cost us but on the whole he's done very well for us especially in an unfamiliar role. So lets not be harsh on the lad.

What are these Facts there was a decision to play OBrien RB for the season ?

Deli Alli got away with one very similar.

Think he's trying to outjump the arsenal player and doesn't have anywhere to put his arms once he's used them to jump due to the proximity of the opposition player. It didn't look the best, and called it a pen live. arsenal didn't seem all that, ok they probably should have scored a second that he couldn't swerve inside the post. Pretty stale game really.

Look, it was 100% a penalty today. But the PGMOL came out with a statement justifying why this wasn’t a handball. It 100% depends on your badge

He's a defensive liability. Fair play to him for filling in at RB but this lad isn't a premier league centre half.
Thank God he was only £10m I say. He'll be at the club for a number of years yet, but hopefully not as a starter unless there is a huge improvement from him.

Or make things worse.
