2025/26 Jake O'Brien

People completely ignoring the fact that a snide Arsenal defender was holding him down when he was trying to get elevation then let him spring up.

Naive at worst from O'Brien.

I repeat though: we have no RB and only Garner is better there while Coleman is out long term. If we want to replace him at right back AND avoid leaving our MF weakened we have to buy one in January. 🤷‍♂️

If trossard had scored he would have been to blame

The centre halves spotted the danger immediately and pointed at OBrien to go to trossard and instead he comes inside which made it so easy for the arsenal player to then pass to trossard who was in acres of space

Trossard had so much space and time that he didn’t even get closed down after he took his shot

OBrien hasn’t got the brain to function as a full back and spot the danger
He has the brain to play CB, which is why he's cleared off our line a few times this season.

He's a very good CD and we should have a manager who shifts things round to accommodate what he does have rather than moan about what he's missing through injury and Afcon: get Keane out of CD and play him as an emergency CF because he's miles better there than either of our two CFs; then put O'Brien with Tarkowski as we had them at Bourenemouth when Tarkorwski played with a lot more discipline and JOB won the MOTM award.

It's simple really - it just gets complicated by a clueless manager like Moyes - who'd rather throw bricks in the media at his own players than make sensible decisions that help us get wins.

Keane can shoot but he isn’t good on the ball. That would have made virtually no difference vs Arsenal as we created basically nothing. there’s a reason you aren’t a manager.

In one thread you are saying we needed another body in midfield. In this you are implying we should shift JOB to CB, meaning that garner goes RB? So our best midfielder gets shifted despite us needed that midfield strength?
