Jake really struggled though with everything tonight, didn’t help that Tarkowski was scared to come across after the card.

For all our neat play we’ve got nobody (other than KDH) who was busting a gut to get in behind.

Says it all really, dying for some direct pace and running without the ball.

We paid big cash for Dibling and he's another tidy ball player with zero pace.

Why?

Terrible decision.

We need pace all over this team.

Getting worried about Jake. He is defo not a right back and his reading of the game seems suspect (as a right back). We need a true right back otherwise we will be exposed in many games

He's a centre half playing out of position.
He'll have games like that against fast, tricky wingers.
Not his fault the club were negligent in not buying RB (again).

Ndiaye should be trying more to run in behind without the ball as well though, he’s too easy to play against wanting everything to feet.

We know Grealish will be the same so it’s only KDH or Beto who actually stretch the back line (zero threat from FB).

Hate to say it but Ndiaye is looking really predictable.

Tarkowski’s booking led to their goal really. He backed out of throwing himself at the ball knowing if he caught Summerville he’d be sent off. That in turn was caned by Gana’s lazy pass, which just summed up the whole performance really. Some good bits, but lots that wasn’t good enough and just slack play.

Anyone with pace who likes to run at the fullback he’s going to struggle with.

My God he was bad tonight, was constantly getting roasted by Summerville and their LB, don’t know how he wasn’t hooked tbh. Goes to show that playing a 6’6” centre back at right back probably isn’t the best idea. Us not getting a proper overlapping full back in the summer is suddenly starting to look a bit silly.

I feel sorry for the lad. He's doing a decent job out of his natural position but West Ham just gave every single bottom half side a blueprint for playing us and JOB is going to be in the eye of the storm every time.
