Very composed with the ball at his feet too.

He's going to be as good a CB as any in the PL once the manager starts 'kin playing him there rather than at RB!

Jake in the middle adds pace and allows us to play a higher line. Garner at right back gets us up the pitch and can actually be dangerous in attack.

Patterson isn’t going to improve that.

He’s got a bright future as a centre back.

Quality shown even more when the game became more stretched which you don’t really get with Keane and Tarkowski.

That was an amazing performance.

Trying to think of who he reminded me of tonight and my first thought was Vidic.

But no, he's taller and quicker, so weirdly thought of another United player.

Never said I would do that. Was asking Dave for fun due to his 'feelings' for Patterson. Mcneil at cm would be equally awful though I will say that.

For me unfortunately O'Brien and Garner will be back in their previous positions this weekend, assuming Keane is fit. After that I don't want to see a Keane Tarkowski pairing again this season.
