2024/25 Jake O'Brien

Some on here saying this lad was a waste of money & not long ago too.

You know who you are.

The only thing stopped this lad was Dyche.

Top Top signing is Jake O'brien.
That probably had more to do with Dyche not playing him than him not being good enough. We spent a good chunk on a defender that wasn't featuring at all and neglected several positions of need. He always looked quality to me personally, but I see why a lot of people were frustrated with us signing him. All in all, booos for Dyche

Is that an apology for writing the lad off before he was given a chance ?
Or a distinct lack of football knowledge.

Not just you btw , there's plenty of others.

Player signed. Player never played.

Hardly anything negative to suspect he was a dud.

He was wanted by juventus on loan this month. Along with 3 other top European sides. We have a player on our hands .

Now its clear Textor punted him to us as he wanted his best player in our team for when he took over.

Well it was looking like a waste of money as he wasn’t being played.

That’s not a reflection on him, but the manager who’s tactics and style of football are fit for only the north west counties league.

I'm never frustrated when we sign potential
top quality players.
The alternative is Keane getting games.

Wether the coward manager doesn't rate them should be no baring on it.

Well 2 top Italian teams and 1 top german outfit applied for him on loan this month. Alot to prove yet but he will make a top center half in my opinion. Has everything. Size/pace/technique and most importantly is a winner who devotes himself to football.

Criminally underused by the last berk. He and Branthwaite have all the makings of an excellent CB pairing, just a shame we probably won’t be able to hold onto the latter long enough to ever see it develop.

Really happy for him, and happy that we changed the manager just in time or he may have had an eye on the exit door himself due to a lack of minutes.
